Coleman v. Bland, 3/4/16
April 20, 2017

The trial court abused its discretion in ruling that the value of the marital portion of the former husband’s pension plan was de minimis. As such, the court did not award the former wife any portion of the pension even though a portion of the pension was earned during the parties’ marriage. Over the course of ten years, the payout of the marital portion of the pension would have been roughly $ 21,600. Judgment was affirmed in part, reversed in part, and matter was remanded with directions.
